Town and Country Sanitation changed their services for the Village of Highland:
- There is a four (4) bag per week limit for garbage.
- Larger furniture items can be picked up at no charge. Residents need to contact Town and Country in advance to make arrangements for pickup by calling 800.626.1915.
- Any white goods (appliances), electronics (TV's, computers, etc), tires and construction material can be picked up for a fee, paid by the resident to Town and Country prior to pickup.
Faherty Inc in Platteville WI have also accepted electronics, tires, construction materials and lead acid batteries to be dropped off at their facility for a fee. You can call them at 608.348.9586 or 800.848.4591.
ALTERNATIVE RECYCLING DUMPSTER (located at the village shop):
The following items will be accepted for free:
- Stoves
- Refrigerators
- Microwaves
- Washing machines
- Dryers
- Auto batteries
- Computer speakers, mouse, wires, keyboards and towers - no monitors
- DVR/VCR systems
- Cell phones
- Home printers
